Log Your CPD Hours via the LIA Website
30/Jun/2008
At the beginning of 2008 LIA launched a facility to allow QFAs, QFA
FLIAs and CPD members keep track of their CPD hours. The facility combines
a mix of automatic logging and manual logging.
If you are a QFA, QFA FLIA or CPD member your CPD hours are logged
automatically onto your record when:
- you attend an LIA seminars,
- you complete a module on the MyCPD website, or
- you successfully complete an LIA examination which qualifies for CPD
hours.
To log CPD hours completed outside of the above criteria, you can do so on
the LIA website as follows:
Step 1
Go to the LIA homepage
Step 2
Enter your LIA membership number in the box marked ‘Username’ and
password.
If you have forgotten your password you can request it to be sent to you
using the
form on this page. Please ensure that the email you provide when you
make the request matches the email address you have previously provided.
If this is your first time to log in you will be asked to change the
temporary password before continuing. You have previously been notified of
your temporary password – if you have forgotten it follow the
instructions above to retrieve it.
After you log in you will be brought to your LIA record.
Step 3
Choose the tab marked CPD at the top of the page which will bring you to
your CPD record.
Step 4
Click on ‘log your CPD hours’ on the top right hand corner of the page
which will bring you to the page where you can submit your CPD hours
manually for Informal Hours, Formal hours gained from Non LIA Events and
Non LIA Exams.
Here you can fill in the required information for each section or
sections, tick the box to confirm the information is correct and then
click ‘submit hours’.
If you have any queries while filling in this information, you can view
the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (green tabs on right hand side of
page). This should answer most of the questions which arise but if you
fail to get the required answer, you can contact the QFA Board directly at
info@qfaboard.ie
or phone 01-4553018. When this is completed, it will automatically enter
the information onto your record on the LIA database.
A list of non LIA exams which qualify for CPD can be viewed by selecting
from the drop down menu.
The above facility can be updated throughout the year and will assist all
members in keeping records of their CPD hours on an ongoing basis instead
of having to record these manually, or remember details at the year end
for the purposes of making an Annual Return.
